Meditation-Part I
Hi, I was going to say a little about meditation. I LOVE to meditate! It is so relaxing and can do wonder for you. Here is an article about it-
http://www.wikihow.com/Meditate
I meditate in my own house, when it's quiet. Outside is to noisy, and distracting. I CAN however dream about going somewhere amazing, like the hills of Scotland, or the rainforest of Hawaii. You can meditate anywhere, as long as it is quiet. Always sit up straight, but the Lotus position is hard for some (like me), so you don't have to do it. I find it hard to to shut my eyes, so I do the candle flame thing. I also like a pleasant smell, tea or fresh air.
You may want to try music to help you. It's really 3 different kinds-man made, like flutes, ambient nature sounds, like waves on a beach, and alternative zen garden ones. You can also listen to a chant or a mantra, but I personally like flutes the best. Here are some youtube videos with some music. The fist one is a "zen garden" one, really nice. The other one is one of my personal favorites, the flutes. A simple search-"meditation music"-on youtube will pull up a lot of good stuff.

Well, I hope this helps you get into the art of meditation. Remember 3 things now, meditation is not yoga, it is a constant state of relaxation and peace. Always breath steadily, and clear your mind of all thoughts. I will be doing another post on the hitory behind meditation, so stay tuned.

PS-A shout out to my buddy Becky! Keep breathing! (LOL!)

Namaste!
Namaste is a greeting in South Asia that derives from Sanskrit and Hindu meaning "salutation to you", or "I bow to you." Welcome to my blog, Peace, Love, and Zen. My name is Wolfie and I have a deep interest in Buddhism and other ways of life promoting wholeness and enlightenment in life. It is an amazing thing. I hope I will make you believe as well.
A brahmin once asked The Blessed One:
"Are you a God?"
"No, brahmin" said The Blessed One.
"Are you a saint?"
"No, brahmin" said The Blessed One.
"Are you a magician?"
"No, brahmin" said The Blessed One.
"What are you then?"
"I am awake."
